Nicholas Mobilia

Owner

Nick Mobilia, a native to North East, Pa, is the third generation owner of Mobilia Fruit Farms. Growing up in the family business of farming, Nick has always been a part of the farm. It wasn't until 1970 when Nick became full-time where he began to grown Mobilia Fruit Farms into the 225 acres it is today. Of the 225 acres, 120 acres are 14 varieties of grapes, the rest consists of cherry, peach and apple trees, and a vegetable garden.

Nick has an excellent knowledge of growing quality fruits and vegetables. His track record of producing award wining wines and great marketing skills has built Arrowhead Wine Cellars from a farm market into the successful winery it is now.

When asked this question Nick just laughed. When you’re at work seven days a week, your “outside of work” time is slim to none. When he does get the time, family is number one. He enjoys visiting his son Adrian and wife Shannon and his precious granddaughter Reilly. Nikki Marie, and her husband Greg, and his youngest daughter Jennifer. He enjoys visiting other farms and wineries, listening to 60’s and 70’s music, dining out, walking through the vineyards and volunteer work including:

  • Erie County Farm Bureau (40 years)
  • North East School Board (14 years)
  • North East Community Foundation (10years)
  • Pennsylvania Wine Association (13 years)
  • Several other advisory committees

He is also a fan and supporter of the Michael Knight Racing dirt track team.

Greg Cole

Greg Cole, Arrowhead Wine Cellars Vineyard Manager, plays an intigral role in the process of wine making at the winery. Greg, who is originally from North East, has been working close to Nick Mobilia over 10+ years and has learned the proper and successful ways to farm. When you control the entire process of producing your final product, the quality of that final product is a direct reflection of what you start off with, and that’s where Greg comes into play. Being the Vineyard Manager he oversees the entire growing process of our grapes, cherries, peaches, black berries, red raspberries and vegetable garden. Weather it’s planting, pruning, spraying, weeding or picking, Greg has a part in it. With the help of his crew, Greg plays a large part in the production of our award wining wines.

Greg is a huge car and truck show fan. He’s big into ATV’s and Motorcycles and has had many over the years. Pretty much anything with a motor and can be raced, he enjoys. Spending time with his family and friends is also very important to him.

Bob Green

After earning his degree in Biology at Penn State he became the program director for Enology and Viticulture at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC). He is also a culinary instructor at Mercyhurst North East.

Bob’s experience in wine making is what makes him such an asset to Arrowhead, which is why he has been a part of the team since 2005. He has such a passion for the wine industry and our growing list of award wining wines proves this. Outside of work, Bob enjoys sailing.

Greg was born in Rome, NY and has lived the majority of his life in PA. He has a bachelors in Economics, a Masters in Business Administrations from Penn State and currently pursuing a degree in Enology (Science of wine making) from the Harrisburg Community College. In 2011 he decided to change careers from retail management and began perusing classes in Enology that brought him together with Nick and Arrowhead wine cellars. "After being a home wine maker for a few years I was inspired to pursue a career in the business. I was inspired by the friendly and cooperative competition in the industry."

Greg Likes: Wood working, being married to his wife and enjoying a bonfire on a nice fall night.

Robert Smith

Assistant Wine Maker, Cellar Keeper and Vineyard Laborer (Wine Cellar, Vineyard)

Born in North Carolina, Robert Smith spent his childhood in Florida but now he currently resides in North East. Robert started working for Arrowhead Wine Cellars in 2001 and has been a dedicated worker ever since.

When Robert begins a project, he sees it through until it is completed to the fullest. If there is a problem, Robert is very good at coming up with ways to improvise and find a solution. After each morning’s agenda meeting, he’s able to go about his work with little to no supervision and gets everything accomplished.

It has been debated that Robert is the biggest Florida Gators fan…ever! Not only does Robert enjoy wine making, but he is also a beer connoisseur. He finds pleasure sipping on a smaller brewery produced microbrew. He also enjoys taking the occasional trip to Florida to visit family.
